Masters of extreme metal RINGWORM have made their long-awaited return today with the release of their 9th full-length album, “Seeing Through Fire,” out now from Nuclear Blast Records. An auditory wrecking ball of filth, chaos and reckless abandon, RINGWORM sinks their teeth into listeners with pummeling tracks like “Thought Crimes,” “No Solace, No Quarter, No Mercy” and the devastating track “House of Flies.”
Founding vocalist Human Furnace stated on the album:
“We're pretty pumped on ‘Seeing Through Fire.’ It's a total burner. It's a straight forward, "smash your face and leave you layin' there wondering what you got hit with" type record. We've never felt the need to "re-invent our own wheel" but going into this one we tried some different things sonically, and we're very happy with the results. Of course, it's the intention, every time we record a new record, but we feel like the over-all sound, feel and aggression of ‘Seeing Through Fire,’ one ups many of our past records. Which, for anyone that knows our catalog, is not always an easy task. With every new record, you have to dig deeper.”
In hand with the album release, RINGWORM has debuted a new video today for the crushing track “House of Flies.” Watch it here: https://youtu.be/uTFTwF3VYbs
Commenting on the song, HF says:
‘‘House of Flies,’ speaks to lingering secrets we all keep and how they can make you feel dead inside. As they fester and multiply, eventually they will make their way to the surface, and the fly is a universal harbinger that death and decomposition that one could feel.”

FALL 2023 HEADLINE TOUR CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BAND
THE "MONSTERS OF OZ" TOUR TO FEATURE FELLOW AUSTRALIAN ACTS THE AMITY AFFLICTION, NORTHLANE, + MAKE THEM SUFFER
LATEST ALBUM DARKER STILL OUT NOW VIA EPITAPH RECORDS
Australian metal juggernauts PARKWAY DRIVE — Winston McCall (vocals), Luke Kilpatrick (guitar), Jeff Ling (guitar), Jia O'Connor (bass), and Ben Gordon (drums) — are celebrating two decades as a band in several special ways.
The band is returning to the U.S. for a Fall 2023 headline tour and will appear at several festivals, including Louder Than Life and Aftershock. The "Monsters of Oz" tour will feature an all-Aussie lineup, with The Amity Affliction as direct support. Northlane and Make Them Suffer round out the bill. Get tickets here.
Parkway Drive will bring its full production — including a flaming drum cage and full pyro — to North America for the first time.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Don't Close Your Eyes is out today, August 18, and is now available on vinyl for the first time ever. This expanded version of the band's 2004 debut includes the original eight tracks, with the addition of bonus tracks included from their split album with I Killed The Prom Queen and compilation albums What We've Built and True Til Death, Volume 1. Get it here.
"20 years is a milestone in any career," said McCall earlier this year. "The journey that has lead us to this moment has been insane, to say the least. We wanted to mark this time with a tour that represents who we are and where we come from. For the first time on North American soil, we are bringing the fully-formed version of the Parkway Drive live experience, and if that wasn't enough, we're bringing an all-Australian lineup with us. No compromise, no surrender. This is who we are — The Monsters Of Oz. Come celebrate with us and burn it all away."
Parkway Drive's seventh album Darker Still is out now via Epitaph Records. Listen here. Darker Still has been lauded by Forbes, Revolver, Loudwire, NME, and Kerrang!

DRIPPING DECAY: Toilet Ov Hell Premieres Festering Grotesqueries From Portland Death Metal Outfit Featuring Current/Former Members Of Lord Gore, Jungle Rot, Hallucinator, And More; LP To Drop This Friday On Satanik Royalty Records
Stream DRIPPING DECAY's Festering Grotesqueries HERE.
Toilet Ov Hell is currently streaming Festering Grotesqueries, the debut full-length from Portland-based old-school death metal group DRIPPING DECAY. The premiere comes on the eve of the record’s official release, Friday, August 18th via Satanik Royalty Records.
Originally founded by guitarist Neil Smith (Lord Gore, Frightmare, Blood Freak) in 2019, DRIPPING DECAY’s solid, hellish sounds were later rounded out by vocalist Eric Stucke (Hallucinator), bassist Jackson Jordan (Conducting From The Grave), and drummer Jason Borton (Jungle Rot). All of the band members have been devout fans of death metal and grindcore for decades and take their influence from bands like Repulsion, Terrorizer, Napalm Death, and Carcass. Take that blueprint and combine it with fast tempos, technical precision, and a licentious adoration of ’80s Italian B-horror films, and you have a recipe for the fantastically repugnant makings of DRIPPING DECAY, making them stand in a class of their own amidst a sea of kids copy and pasting Entombed and Incantation riffs into oblivion.
Writes Toilet Ov Hell in part of Festering Grotesqueries, “I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover, but in this case it’s a safe bet. Festering Grotesqueries is every bit as gore-soaked and abrasive as you might expect. Try not to gag while looking at the album art, then press play to enjoy the auditory assault you didn’t know you needed.”
Read more and stream Festering Grotesqueries, exclusively at Toilet Ov Hell, HERE.
Festering Grotesqueries was recorded at Falcon Studios in Portland, Oregon with engineer Derek Leisy (Vitriol), mixed by Vincent Detto (Cerebral Rot, Mortiferum), and mastered by Dan Lowndes, who also mastered the 2021 demo, Watching You Rot. Festering Grotesqueries’ album artwork sees the return of their fashionably putrefied mascot, Drippy — a creation of artist Toni K. Hietomaa, whose brilliantly sickening visions also graced the cover of Watching You Rot.
The album will be released via Satanik Royalty Records on all streaming services as well as CD, cassette, and vinyl in black, toxic green, and pink/orange marble variants.
Find preorders at the Satanik Royalty webshop HERE or Bandcamp HERE.
“From deep within the Pacific Northwest, Maniac Neil rises once again! Otherwise known as the mind behind Frightmare, Blood Freak, and many other highly quality death/grind bands, Neil’s new band DRIPPING DECAY‘s more traditional, riff-inspired brick shithouse of a debut album Festering Grotesqueries’ putrid and bloated mix of death metal and grindcore is a solid reminder that The Maniac‘s mastery is something to truly behold.” – Decibel Magazine
“Festering Grotesqueries is one helluva fun, disgusting platter of bodily fluid splatter and there’s a lot to like about what DRIPPING DECAY pull off on their rollicking, rumbling debut.” – Angry Metal Guy
“DRIPPING DECAY are to modern metal what practical effects were to 1980s VHS horror aberrations. Read: old-school, hands-on, physically revolting, and tangible death metal. Old school is usually static in how it operates, but not here. Each track brings with it a new pustule to ooze into the ears, a new vessel into which one shall wretch. Fast, vibrantly disgusting, all of the splattering trash we enjoy around here.” – Deaf Sparrow

Neil Smith - guitars
Jackson Jordan - bass

THY ART IS MURDER DELIVER VIDEO FOR NEW BELTER "BLOOD THRONE" — WATCH
NEW ALBUM GODLIKE — OUT SEPTEMBER 15 VIA HUMAN WARFARE
Australia's extreme metal titans Thy Art Is Murder have revealed turbulent new single "Blood Throne," taken from the band's forthcoming album, Godlike, out September 15 via Human Warfare. Pre-order Godlike here.
Watch the video here.
"AND SO THEY ROT!!" growls a menacing CJ McMahon as he ushers in "Blood Throne" with a maniacal glint in his eye. From here, Thy Art Is Murder blast open the ninth circle of hell with a potent mix of mayhem and force designed to galvanize us into overthrowing the evil that reigns on the Blood Throne.
Guitarist Andy Marsh offers, "As we started work on 'Blood Throne,' we aimed to harness the same visceral energy that drove 'Death Squad Anthem' while pushing our boundaries to craft something unique. Kicking things off with a break beat groove, we wanted to set the tone with a jolt to the system preparing everyone for the chaos ahead. 'Blood Throne' embodies our attempt at creative anthemic power and groove spiraling into a reflection of oppressive organizations and regimes that profit and thrive on the toil and pain of the marginalized. Throughout our career, we have confronted these themes head on with the aim of igniting a fire within each listener and inspiring the collective strength to challenge the dominion of those who perpetuate suffering."
Thy Art Is Murder ascended the ranks of extreme metal's top tier bands with a meteoric underground rise as explosive as humankind's seemingly inevitable descent into doom and death. With their new album, Godlike, Australia's most harrowingly brutal export since George Miller's Mad Max franchise invites audiences worldwide to join them in a fresh Armageddon.
The sixth explosive album in the band's arsenal, Godlike cements Thy Art Is Murder as death metal's modern torchbearers. A soundtrack to a divisive post-modern dystopia, Godlike sees Thy Art Is Murder explore new depths and dynamics without sacrificing an ounce of intensity or urgency the band have staked their career on.
Recorded with their longtime producer and mixer Will Putney, across the album's 10 nihilistic tracks, Thy Art are masters of their craft, as they deliver sharp stabs, guttural descents and groove with muscular athleticism and confidence. Frontman CJ McMahon gives his strongest performance ever as he belts through lyrics that thematically confront how cycles of violence continue over time and feelings of separation in a hyper-polarized world.
Thy Art Is Murder is thinking person's blackened death metal and it has challenged, provoked, and inspired audiences around the world. Through relentless hard work, Thy Art have become one of the most successful extreme metal bands Australia has ever produced, making history on their own terms. Backed by an uncompromising discography, the two-time ARIA-Award nominees have smashed chart records in their native country, becoming the first homegrown extreme metal act to debut in the Top 5 with 2017's Dear Desolation.
Their electrifying and incendiary performances have seen the band do countless laps of the globe, becoming tourmates with genre-titans like Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Kreator, Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, and Parkway Drive, alongside playing crucial festivals like Summer Breeze, Download, Graspop, and Wacken.
Join Thy Art Is Murder when they enter Godlike mode this coming September.

TREVOR RABIN LAUNCHES 'BIG MISTAKES;' DEBUT SINGLE FROM 'RIO,' HIS FIRST NEW VOCAL-LED SOLO ALBUM IN OVER 30 YEARS
Trevor Rabin, the South African guitarist, singer, multi-musician, writer and producer, recently announced ‘Rio’, his first solo album of vocal material in 34 years, set for release on the 6th October 2023 worldwide. Today he is pleased to reveal the albums first single, ‘Big Mistakes’, alongside a brand new video. Watch it now here: https://youtu.be/KPzga7UJwy4
Trevor comments: “‘Big Mistakes’ the first single on the album, is essentially about surviving my late teens/twenties, hence the lyric: ‘We played in the fire, we danced in the rain. Up all night we made Big Mistakes’. I should have called the song ‘I Can’t Believe I’m Alive.” Trevor plays all the instruments on the track, aside from the drums which were performed by Lou Molino, and backing vocals from Dante Marchi & Liz Constantine. ‘Rio’ will be available as a Ltd CD+Blu-ray Mediabook & Ltd Deluxe Gatefold Red 180g 2LP + Blu-ray (including 8-page LP-booklet and obi strip), both featuring bonus material, 5.1 surround sound & liner notes. Also available as Standard CD Jewelcase, Gatefold 180g
2LP+LP-booklet (with etching on side D), and as Digital Album. The cover for the album was created by Trevor himself: “I dabble with digital art so I sent some images of mine to the label and was pleasantly surprised when they liked them.”.
Pre-order now here: https://trevorrabin.lnk.to/Rio
The full track-listing is as follows:
1. Big Mistakes
2. Push
3. Oklahoma
4. Paradise
5. Thandi
6. Goodbye
7. Tumbleweed
8. These Tears
9. Egoli
10. Toxic
The Ltd CD+Blu-ray Mediabook & Ltd Deluxe Gatefold Red 180g 2LP + Blue-ray also features the following bonus tracks:
1. Spek & Polly
2. Fragile (Demo)
3. Georgia
Given that his previous vocal-led solo album, ‘Can’t Look Away’, was released in 1989 (2012’s ‘Jacaranda’ was all-instrumental), Rabin has kept us waiting for more than three decades for a follow-up. Trevor admits that there was pressure from all sides, including his own family, to have speeded up the process. However, the delay is excusable. Since leaving Yes following the ‘Talk’ album in 1994 and largely as a prequel to touring as part of ARW in 2016, the guitarist entered the time-consuming world of movie soundtracks. Not just any old movies, either. Trevor’s name appears as composer for such blockbusters as Con Air, Armageddon, Remember the Titans, Enemy Of The State, Deep Blue Sea, Glory Road, and Gone In 60 Seconds and both National Treasure movies, amongst many others. “Over the past ten years I was having ideas, concepts that I couldn’t implement due to my busy schedule,” he explains, adding: “To be honest, those years flew by in a flurry. I knew that this was the time, and once I found my momentum I worked on the album 24/7.” The process proved a labour of love and as with his first and second solo records, ‘Trevor Rabin’ and ‘Face To Face’ (from 1977 and ’79 respectively), Rabin handled just about all of the instruments himself.
TREVOR RABIN - Big Mistakes (OFFICIAL VIDEO)Stylistically, ‘Rio’– is tough to categorize. Besides guitar-driven rock-meets-pop, ‘Goodbye’ is Country & Western with an edgy drive, while ‘Tumbleweed’ begins in a burst of harmonies. No wonder its working title was ‘The Demographic Nightmare’.
“I wanted to get into many different areas,” Rabin states. “Of course there are ‘prog things’, but overall there are a lot of styles going on.”
As mentioned, Trevor plays the majority of the instruments on the record. However, on drums for a number of tracks is Lou Molino, while Trevor also contributes some drums and percussion. Vinnie Calaiuta provides drums on ‘Push’, and Rabin’s son Ryan Rabin helped out with some of the most important percussive arrangements. Along the way Trevor also drafted in a couple of friends, Dante Marchi and Liz Constantine, to sing back up on two songs.

KK'S PRIEST Featuring Former Judas Priest Members K.K. Downing and
Tim "Ripper" Owens, Reveals Electrifying New Track "Reap The Whirlwind"
Watch the New Official Music Video HERE
New Album, The Sinner Rides Again, out September 29, 2023 via Napalm Records | Pre-Order HERE
KK’S PRIEST - the iconic heavy metal amalgamation of iconic Judas Priest alum and GRAMMY Award winning/nominated musicians K.K. Downing (guitar) and Tim “Ripper” Owens (vocals), along with A.J. Mills (guitar), Tony Newton (bass) and Sean Elg (drums) - recently announced the upcoming release of their savage sophomore offering, The Sinner Rides Again, out September 29, 2023 via Napalm Records. On the heels of their highly-lauded 2021 debut album, Sermons Of The Sinner - which debuted within the Top 20 on charts in the United States, the UK, Germany, Sweden, Finland and more - KK’S PRIEST return to sin again!
Following up on the release of their blistering first single "One More Shot At Glory", today, KK’S PRIEST have unleashed another new track, this time entitled "Reap The Whirlwind", alongside another new music video! The electric opus is a classic heavy metal power thrust of soaring leads, hair-raising harmonics and earworm vocal hooks.
K.K. Downing says about "Reap The Whirlwind":
“'If you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind’ - this is a common phrase that has been familiar with me from a very young age. Obviously it’s very meaningful - it’s a warning that if you mistreat people, or really whatever you do in life, you need to be very careful, because whatever sufferance you inflict on anyone, it could come back to haunt you, and your suffering could be even more severe. Everyone knowingly or unknowingly has made the mistake of thinking they can get away with small misdemeanors to suit their selfish pursuits, but if justice is to be served, you will reap exactly what you sow. That is the message of this song."
Watch the music video for "Reap The Whirlwind" HERE: https://youtu.be/v7Ir9BFZKqU
Media acclaim highlights for first single "One More Shot At Glory":
"The riffs fly at you at breakneck speed, the harmonized guitar solos are as sweet as they come, and those shreds will most certainly singe an eyebrow or two along the way."
- Guitar World
“K.K. Downing at his very best!”
- Götz Kühnemund, Deaf Forever
"...tapping into the fist-pumping energy of classic heavy metal like it’s 1983 all over again."
- Metal Hammer UK
"...a hard-charging metal anthem..."
- Heavy Consequence
With The Sinner Rides Again, KK’S PRIEST double down on the ripping melodic force of their debut, Sermons Of The Sinner - which Metal Hammer UK dubbed “hugely enjoyable” and Metal Injection cited as boasting “catchy hooks and plenty of guitar wizardry”. The Sinner Rides Again wields nine tracks of pure hellfire, produced and written by Downing and mixed/mastered by Jacob Hansen.
After stepping out of the Judas Priest spotlight, the return of K.K. Downing was uncertain. Nearly ten years after its onset, the genre-defining guitar icon returned from his hiatus with proof that he was nowhere ready to cease writing classic metal songs or to put away his famous Flying V guitars - taking part in acclaimed international comeback performances (including with his former Judas Priest bandmates when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November 2022) that would act as harbingers of the formation of KK’S PRIEST.
Downing was recently quoted saying, “We've lost a lot of great people – Dio, Lemmy, for example – but this amazing and unique style of music must be preserved for as long as possible and I feel it within me to continue to play my role, as I always have, and to defend this metal genre, which we all know and love.” The Sinner Rides Again is a testament to this call for the classics while speeding full force into the future, delivered by some of heavy metal’s most essential performers.
Pre-Order The Sinner Rides Again HERE:
https://lnk.to/KKsPriest-TheSinnerRidesAgain/napalmrecords
The immense and intricate art for The Sinner Rides Again was created by talented artist Andy Pilkington.
A haunting introduction of dual guitars carries the listener into the thundering “Sons Of The Sentinel”, winding across a wasteland of burning riffs and a deftly dynamic guitar solo to kick off the record with relentless energy! The undeniably catchy anthem “Strike Of The Viper” proves itself as one of the album’s most unforgettable tracks, before “Reap The Whirlwind” crashes in with a classic heavy metal power thrust of soaring leads, hair-raising harmonics and earworm vocal hooks. First single “One More Shot At Glory” raises its sword high, instantaneously calling for battle with its opening riff and beckoning verses. Heroic chants and unrelenting double bass set the stage for a galloping midsection as a spine-tingling guitar solo commands the song. Striding “Hymn 66” commands with sultry, slow and low metallic punches and a bluesy gait, while massive title track “The Sinner Rides Again” straddles balladic passages and sinister, head-bobbing choruses. Beginning with ominous bells, “Keeper Of The Graves” rounds the final bend of the album with roaring cascades and a dynamic performance from Owens, before charging “Pledge Your Souls” and rollercoaster closer epic “Wash Away Your Sins” rise as the final embers of a certified burner - proving itself as a must-hear metal album of the year by the greatest to ever perform the genre!
The Sinner Rides Again track listing:
1. Sons Of The Sentinel
2. Strike Of The Viper
3. Reap The Whirlwind
4. One More Shot At Glory

At its founding, Weedeater rose like a doobie phoenix out of the ashes of BUZZOV•EN. When the cult sludge act called it a day, bass player Dave “Dixie” Collins teamed up with guitarist Dave “Shep” Shepherd and founded Weedeater in the harbor town of Wilmington about the year 1998.
Their crushing and massive first full-length ‘…and Justice for Y’all’ (2001) created an immediate buzz, while critics were struggling to put a tag on their sound. Nearly everybody agreed that stoner rock, doom, sludge and some crusty elements were part of the mix, which the band simply calls “weed metal”. The debut was produced by renowned engineer Billy Anderson (Eyehategod, Neurosis) as well as sophomore album ‘Sixteen Tons’ (2002). Weedeater went out to perform live with Corosion of Conformity and Alabama Thunderpussy among others.
After some detours of Dixie Dave, who played shortly with Bongzilla and Sourvein, third album ‘God Luck and Good Speed’ hit the world in 2007 and shifted the band’s focus slightly towards the stoner side. The latest full-length ‘Jason… the Dragon’ got delayed when vocalist Dixie Dave lost a toe due to an incident with his favorite shotgun. When the sludge driven album finally came out in 2011, shows in the US and Europe cemented the band’s reputation as a fierce live entity.
After signing to Season of Mist, Weedeater reissued their full back-catalogue on their new label. Yet the Bible Belt state of North Carolina, USA remains a fertile ground for hemp and stoner rock. Their latest album, ‘Goliathan’, makes the South smoke again. It's a monster record that'll blow your mind.
