GWAR B-Q Adds Knockout Special Guests To Heavy-Hitting Lineup!

Horror business is about to pick up! The MISFITS have been revealed as the special secret guest for the 5th Annual GWAR B-Q! GWAR's festival of meat, music and mayhem will take place on Saturday August 16th at Hadad's Lake (7900 Osborne Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23231). Led by famous monster Jerry Only, the MISFITS have been carving their own bloody path through punk and metal since 1977.

Jerry Only joins an impressive roster of talent participating in the VIP Celebrity Meet & Meat. These include Jackass/Viva La Bam star Bam Margera, LA Ink's Amy Nicoletto, Body Count's Ice-T, Hatebreed featuring Jamey Jasta, punk rock legend Tesco Vee of the Meatmen and of course all of GWAR - including returning Scumdogs Slymenstra Hymen, Sleazy P. Martini and Sexecutioner! Holders of VIP tickets - which sold out at warp speed - are good to go for this exclusive event. Everyone else is a sad slave.

(Jello Biafra)

GWAR demands that all attend the Dave Brockie Memorial one day before the GWAR B-Q. Fans, friends and possibly protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church will gather from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, August 15 at Hadad's Lake. We can now announce that Jello Biafra - punk icon, Dead Kennedys front man and actor in GWAR's long-form video Skulhedface - will serve as the memorial's master of ceremonies. Tribute will be paid to both Brockie and Oderus Urungus, as the Scumdog soldier will receive a Viking funeral set ablaze upon the SS Boat. Show up and bid Oderus farewell as he travels to Valhalla and beyond!

The 5th Annual GWAR B-Q opens the floodgates at 10:00am, and the first bands will rage on the GWAR B-Q's two stages starting at 10:35am. The first 100 people to arrive will get in first. Get there early, because each explosive act has been handpicked as an awesome complement to molten sun and meat sandwiches!  GWAR cares not that you missed the act you wanted to see. So, start your next binge at 10:00am, in true Bohab fashion.

BUT WAIT! Before you meet your untimely demise at the cannibalistic bloody orgy of this year's GWAR B-Q, your secured entry depends on these items.

NO PETS! (Don't leave your pet in the car, asshole!)

Buses will be shuttling attendees to/from the VCU campus, downtown Richmond, airport hotels and annex parking lots. And speaking of lodging, rooms are still available at one of the five special-discount hotels. All this information and more can be found at http://gwarbq.com/crashing-out.

The Spew-O-Lympics is currently taking applications for potential contestants, because everyone likes to laugh at idiots sacrificing their health and dignity for fame and fortune. Can you topple reigning champion "Gold Member?" It's going to be hard. Find out how to enter, as well info on other GWAR B-Q events, at gwarbq.com/events-2.

GWAR BQ skate park & bike jumps
GWAR B-Q Skate Park & Bike Jumps

Another spectacle returning to the GWAR B-Q is the skate park. Some will be brave enough to tackle the Rolling Wheels of Death, and some may live to tell the tale. Even you posers will be able to purchase a limited edition 5th Annual GWAR B-Q skateboard. Smack it on your skull and make up a story about how you ate it trying an ollie 360 heel flip.

Plenty of the new GWAR Beer, Killsner, will be on hand at the GWAR B-Q; but you don't have to wait until then to pour some down your gullet. Brown Distributing expects to have it stocked in area stores and bars by early August. Proactive bohabs can order it online from Lueken's Liquors at luekensliquors.com/beer/cigar-city-gwar-4pk-12oz. And finally, GWAR Beer brewer Cigar City Brewing is organizing a special Killsner tasting at their Tampa Florida stronghold. Tampa: It's not just for strippers anymore! Check www.cigarcitybrewing.com for more information on the GWAR beer tasting event from Cigar City.

To ensure GWAR has all vices covered, the premium handmade CiGWAR is almost ready to be held in your sweaty, hairy palm. They're being produced by the world-famous Tajuaje Cigars and its owner Pete Johnson - a company known for handmade, premium Nicaraguan tobacco cigars. Get them at the GWAR B-Q or at Richmond-area Havana Connections locations (11616 Broad Street and 8801-E Three Chopt Road in RVA; 11645 Midlothian Turnpike and 6181 Harbourside Center Loop in Midlothian; and 4920 Courthouse Street in Williamsburg).

JiZMak was blown away by the CiGWAR, saying, "It's the second best thing I've ever had in my mouth!"

Don't forget the bloody bookends to the insanity: the B4BQ and the GWafter Party! The B4BQ has a quartet of killer bands, including headliner The Black Dahlia Murder. Don't miss the action Friday, August 15th at 7:00pm at The Broadberry (2729 W. Broad Street, Richmond VA 23220). Get your tickets atthebroadberry.com/. VIP Premium Ticket holders get in FREE. Don't forget to bring your printed e-ticket to the door for FREE admittance or else pony up your burger flippin' bucks for entry.

The GWafter Party is a good goal to shoot for. How many limbs will you have left after your day at Hadad's Lake? Enough to drag yourself to Bandito's Burrito Lounge (2905 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23221) directly after the GWAR B-Q on the night of Saturday, August 16th? That remains to be seen. But if you do, you'll get to eat tacos and hear music by Mudd Helmut, Polkadot Cadaver and Creep-A-Zoids.

Of course, none of the majesty and depravity of this year's GBQ would be possible without our key sponsors: Ring Dog Rescue, Mt. Baker Vapor, Cigar City Brewing, Brown Distributing, Monster Energy Drink, Genesee Cream Ale, Blakhart Guitars Guitar Center and Metal Insider.

CLUTCH critical soundbites:

“Four Maryland lifers--road dogs who've been grinding since the early Fugazi administration, cranking out  seething admixtures of jam-band chops, careening blues-punk riffs and singer Neil Fallon's nerdy, piss-taking wiseass lyrics--release their hardest rocking set to date.”

--ROLLING STONE, (#10 Rolling Stone “Top 20 Metal Albums,” Dec. 2013)

“Every now and again an album [Earth Rocker] comes along that’s an absolute classic-not just a handful of good tunes and a handful of filler, but a classic from start to finish. Not since Pure Rock Fury and Blast Tyrant has Clutch been so straightforward in their approach. By their own admission, the band found fresh inspiration from touring with Thin Lizzy and Motorhead and it showed in the music and in the colossal riffs of guitarist Tim Sult. “

--METAL HAMMER, (#1 Metal Hammer “Album of the Year,” Jan. 2014)

“…bluesy rock, blustery, but impressively precise riffage, beards, and story songs about robots.

--Allison Stewart, REVOLVER (Mar. 2013)

Vocalist Neil Fallon oozes the passion and silver-tongued charm of a fire-and-brimstone preacher on the title track, Sult unleashes scores of timeless Clutch riffs (with a highlight being the irresistible fervor of ‘Unto the Breach’), and bassist Dan Maines lays down a gritty yet silky tone on tracks like ‘Crucial Velocity’ and ‘Mr. Freedom.’ In fact, every song here has its own rhythmic or melodic hallmark, making Earth Rocker a surefire future classic.”

--Billy Brennan, MODERN DRUMMER (Apr. 12, 2013)

Clutch has become a beaming example of perseverance and self-sufficiency for an independent act. …Earth Rocker remains focused on staying tight. …tracks like ‘Unto The Breach’ deliver with force: It’s fast, aggressive, melodic and catchy.”

--Mike Thomas, RELIX (Apr. 2013)

Earth Rocker is Clutch’s hard turn into primal boogie heaviness. The acoustic flourishes, blues songs, and psychedelic forays that shaped Clutch’s past few records are shelved and in their place are hard and barbed riff-driven tunes. …Singer Neil Fallon is a holy rock ’n’ roller celebrating his music’s cathartic release and its history.”

--Scott McLennan, BOSTON GLOBE (Mar. 2013)

Clutch has created one of its best, and most straightforward, albums to date. …Working again with producer Machine, the act stripped away the excess and honed in on the riff-heavy, muscular bar-band rock. …The white-knuckled rocking only slows down once. ‘Gone Cold,’ a subdued existential meditation, signals the end of Side A and works as a palate cleanser from the amplification and distortion. The respite also builds anticipation for the album's best track, ‘Book, Saddle and Go.’ The band was inspired by recent tour mates, and '70s hard-rock legends, Thin Lizzy, and here it shows most. The call-and-response hook and gritty riffing are proof Clutch doesn't need to pander to fans or a major label (Weathermaker Music is owned by the band).”

--Wesley Case, BALTIMORE SUN, (Mar 15, 2013)

Clutch, the hard-touring Maryland band with an endless supply of guitar riffs, is back on the righteous path of heavy rock... Earth Rocker is Clutch's hardest-hitting album in a while, and it's full of Fallon's occasionally inscrutable, fantastical sci-fi themes. There are references to Guttenberg, the Large Hadron Collider and the medieval weapon the halberd--and that's just in one song (‘Unto the Breach’). ‘The Face’ imagines a post-apocalyptic pop culture landscape where rock is dead and electric guitars have been cast into the sea. On ‘Cyborg Bette,’ our rock-star narrator falls for a robot, his ‘latest model’. A welcome return to form.”

--Christopher Weber, SEATTLE TIMES (Mar 18, 2013)

’Earth Rocker’will leave you battered and bruised from the relentless rhythm, vibe and energy. …The record is so UP, so groove ridden that words are not adequate to describe it. There is no filler here. There are no weak moments. There is nothing wasted. There is not a lyric, not a riff, not even a cymbal crash that is out of place.  Clutch are better musicians than most, but they are a much better band than just about everybody (there is a crucial difference). What an album it is.”

--Richard Maw, THE SLUDGELORD, (Mar. 24, 2013)

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY: Drummer Reed Mullin Forced To Sit Out Live Dates

Due to a torn rotator cuff, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY drummer Reed Mullin has been forced to sit out the band's upcoming live dates.

Reads an official statement from the band: "We are sorry to announce that Reed Mullin will not be onboard for this tour. He's been playing through pain, awaiting a strategic time to repair a full tear of his rotator cuff. That's a seriously bum shoulder. So he's going to get that repaired and rehabbed. During the interim, we're enlisted Mr. Eric Hernandez formerly of Kylesa to help us until then. Eric came to our attention when we approached Rick Smith of Torche about filling in and he recommended Eric, who he grew up with in Miami. Eric has also filled in for Ricky in Torche a few times with great results. He is, like Reed, a hard hitter, and thankfully possesses the capacity to learn and digest detailed material quickly and accurately."

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY is currently leveling the stages of New Zealand and Australia which will be followed by a two-week North American run scheduled to commence on August 20th in Spokane, and come to a close in Vancouver on September 1st. The band will be joined by Bl'ast!, Brant Bjork & The Low Desert Punk Band and Lord Dying.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY released their fittingly titled IX full-length earlier this month via Candlelight Records. Captured by the band alongside long-time friend and colleague John Custer, IX clocks in at nearly forty-five minutes. Sludge, doom, punk... it's all in the grooves that fans have come to expect from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. If you missed it, check out the lyric video for "Tarquinius Superbus" at THIS LOCATION.

"COC stick to the recipe that served them well on both 2012's self-titled reboot and the follow-up EP, Megalodon: A little hardcore, a little crossover, a whole lotta Southern rock and (especially) doom metal, all stirred, shuffled, layered and frosted in ways that make guessing their next move impossible. But the band's strategies are more expansive this time out, their tricks more finely woven into the fabric of each song." - Decibel

"The album's production is full with plenty of low end, showcasing the thick riffs and potent rhythm section. Clocking in at just over forty-two-minutes, the band delivers the goods and doesn't overstay their welcome." - Loudwire

"...smoke-wreathed grooves and sludgy rushes of belligerence, the album is a meat-and-potatoes feast." - A.V. Club

"This band is vital, this record a triumph." - The Obelisk

OVERKILL has debuted another all new music video for their newest single "Bitter Pill" exclusively via Decibel Magazine today. Directed by long time collaborator Kevin J. Custer, the video is the fourth time the veteran director has directed an Overkill video including "Armorist," released most recently.
OVERKILL will release their seventeenth LP White Devil Armory tomorrow via eOne Music in North America, and July 18th overseas via Nuclear Blast. The effort is the follow up to the critically acclaimed The Electric Age released in 2012.

The band has quite a bit of touring lined up with a highlighted performance scheduled at Heavy Montreal Festival on August 9th. After that the band will embark on a U.S. tour, view all dates here. Tickets are on sale now.

This year’s White Devil Armory is as vital, powerful, aggressive and melodic as any of the albums in Overkill’s ridiculously impressive back catalog, which stretches over 16 slabs of genre defining and redefining molten metal. The crunch is unmistakable. The voice is irreplaceable. Get less than a minute into White Devil Armory and it’s clear it’s Overkill. No pretense, no musical red herrings. This is tried and true, always trusted thrash metal.
1. XDM
2. Armorist
3. Down To The Bone
4. PIG
5. Bitter Pill
6. Where There's Smoke
7. Freedom Rings
8. Another Day To Die
9. King Of The Rat Bastards
10. It's All Yours
11. In The Name
“Overkill, a quintet that has pulled off the implausible trick of hitting their stride after more than three decades.” 8/10 DECIBEL

"‘White Devil Armory’ is really defined by its dynamically shifting epics, including the cinematic opus “Freedom Rings” and the album closing “In the Name,” which boasts a Dio-style grandeur." 4/5 REVOLVER

"Young pups should shake in their boots, as this album delivers song after song of souped-up speed metal." 8/10 EXCLAIM!

LAMB OF GOD’s Chris Adler Announces Partnership with Big Whisky Grill in Richmond, VA – Opening Soon!

Big Whisky Grill is Set to Feature a Selection of Over 2000 Spirits, 150 Craft Beers, a 200-Bottle Wine Selection & a High-End Cigar Room

NEW in Richmond - Featuring Two Fully Functioning Kitchens to Accommodate for Allergy/Dietary Restrictions/Needs

Metalheads know that heavy metal and whiskey go hand-in-hand. So, it comes as no surprise that Chris Adler of LAMB OF GOD – heralded drummer for one of the biggest metal bands in the biz – is proudly announcing his new partnership with Richmond-restaurant owner Will “Mac” McCormack to open the Big Whisky Grill near the West End of Richmond, VA!

The original Whisky Grill is located in the Richmond Fan District but is too small to accommodate their growing demand. Adler and McCormack’s brand new Big Whisky Grill will hold up to 600 people – making this a perfect location to visit on your next heavy metal road trip!

Adler is looking forward to turning his passion into a reality. “Anyone that knows me knows I’m not good at sitting still. The down time has been a great way for us to reconnect with family and friends, and in doing so, I’ve found myself in a position to keep pushing. I’ve partnered up with my good buddy Mac to open one of the largest and extensive Whisky bars in the nation. We are building out now and the ideas in process are incredible.”

The Big Whisky Grill is set to open in October and will offer a selection of over 2000 spirits – 700-bottle whiskey selection, 150 craft beers and a 200-bottle wine selection. Adler and McCormack are also working with Henrico County health officials to offer a high-end Cigar room within the 11,000 sq. ft. footprint of the restaurant.

Adler is most proud of their unique two-kitchen system, allowing them the ability to safely serve patrons with any and all food allergies or dietary restrictions (GF, V, VO). This concept is all but absent in the Richmond area and is a much needed option for many diners.

“One of the most important details for me outside of the incredible Whisky collection is the idea of two kitchens, with one sterilized to serve specialized diet and allergy needs. My wife has suffered from severe food allergies for her entire life and has never been able to comfortably dine out – and she’s not alone. I’m driven to create a safe environment for any dietary concern, choice or not.”

Adler continues, “I won’t be in the back behind a purple rope holding court, I’ll be behind the bar serving up the gold. We are stoked and hope to create a friendly and classy place for our community and visitors from all around.”

Los Angeles, California – July 16, 2014 - Guns N' Roses concert film, Appetite For Democracy 3D: Live at the Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas, released on July 1, 2014 by Universal Music Enterprises, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Music DVD chart last week and remains at the No. 1 position for its second week in a row. Clocking in at just under three hours, the band's explosive set includes all of their biggest hits and classic GNR staples.

Available now in North America on Blu-ray™ featuring the complete concert film in both 3D and 2D plus an interactive 3D photo gallery, and standard DVD featuring the 2D version of the film. Both releases are mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound and feature bonus interviews with the band. The GN'R Appetite For Democracy Official App (IOS/Android) brings the concert experience to a new level by connecting GNR directly with their fans, allowing fans to connect with each other via social media, buy exclusive merchandise, check tour/cinema dates for the movie, preview digital tracks of the film; and purchase or stream via VOD the digital long form concert.

Produced by Rock Fuel Media's Barry Summers, Appetite For Democracy 3D is the first official Guns N' Roses live concert film since 1992's Use Your Illusion concert video and features brand new live performances of classic GNR tracks including "Welcome To The Jungle," "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Mr. Brownstone," "Paradise City," "Nightrain," "It's So Easy" and "Rocket Queen," from their pivotal, 1987 No. 1 debut album Appetite For Destruction; "Patience" and "Used To Love Her" from 1988's No. 2 charting album Lies; "November Rain," "Don't Cry," "Civil War" as well as the band's signature versions of Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die" and Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door;" powerful renditions of The Who's "The Seeker" and Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2;" and much, much more.

In 1987 Guns N' Roses burst onto the hard rock scene and, with their punk rock ethics and an uncompromising, explosive sound, turned a scene filled with synth-pop and hair-metal on its end, propelling the band to the top of the charts. Filling stadiums and arenas across the globe, much like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Sex Pistols, Guns N' Roses wrote their own chapter in rock and roll history and continue to make their own rules.

Now, celebrated worldwide as one of the most important rock acts in music history, Guns N' Roses are Axl Rose, DJ Ashba (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Tommy Stinson (bass), Richard Fortus (guitar), Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (guitar), Chris Pitman (keyboards) and Frank Ferrer (drums). Guns N' Roses continue on their sold-out global arena tour, with shows in the US, Europe, visits to Latin America and multiple festivals, having played to millions of fans around the globe.

July 14, 2014 -- When RICHIE KOTZEN plays his guitar, you know it’s him.  The guitar virtuoso, singer and songwriter possesses an inimitable style that’s both instantly recognizable and immediately striking.  This unique style courses through THE ESSENTIAL RICHIE KOTZEN, a career retrospective collection set for release September 2 on Loud & Proud Records.  It encompasses this iconic talent’s entire career of his most essential work and includes two CDs of classic material, acoustic performances, bootleg material and two brand new songs (“War Paint” and “Walk With Me”), and a DVD of music videos, acoustic performances and bootleg material.  A three-song sampler, including the two new songs along with “Lie To Me,” is being serviced to rock radio stations later this month.  Fans can pre-order the album at http://bit.ly/1oXRsUX.
KOTZEN personally curated THE ESSENTIAL RICHIE KOTZEN from his 18 solo albums in order to give listeners the most comprehensive, cohesive and concise introduction to his extensive body of work.  “I’ve really changed and grown as an artist and as a person,” he says.  “I hand-selected songs so newcomers can get into my music and learn who I am as a recording artist.”
“War Paint” builds from an opening bluesy riff into a bombastic chorus punctuated by KOTZEN’s gravelly delivery and impeccable lead playing.  He explains, “It was a challenge to make a studio recording sound like a live band with only one musician playing all the instruments.  I think I accomplished that on this track.”  At the same time, “Walk With Me” sees KOTZEN evolving once more and incorporating a Theremin, an antique electronic instrument, into an emotive and engaging anthem.  “There was a specific sound I was hearing in the song,” he reveals.  “I realized it was a Theremin, so I bought one.  I spent a couple of weeks learning it.  I used that where the lead guitar would normally go.  It was a really rewarding departure for me.”
With his guitar styles ranging from rock, blues, jazz and fusion to pop and soul, RICHIE KOTZEN has built a remarkably diverse 20 year career as a guitarist, singer and songwriter.  During that span, KOTZEN toured with his trio extensively outside the United States, building a loyal fan base and selling out shows throughout Europe, Latin America, and Japan.  In 1996, Fender guitars honored him with not one, but two signature model guitars.  His signature model Telecaster is available worldwide and continues to be a top seller for the brand.  In 2006, KOTZEN received one of his biggest personal honors when The Rolling Stones chose him to open up a string of Japanese shows placing him in front of some of his biggest crowds to date.  He has not only built an incredibly successful solo career, but has also found himself writing, recording and playing live with a variety of different artists, including Jazz legends Stanley Clarke and Lenny White.  He currently plays guitar and fronts the band The Winery Dogs with bassist Billy Sheehan and drummer Mike Portnoy (the band’s self-titled debut album debuted at #27 on the Billboard “Top 200 Albums” chart).
With his 20th full-length solo album on the horizon for 2015 as well as countless gigs, RICHIE KOTZEN’s legacy is only continuing to expand.  “When you perform, record or write, you go to a different place,” he concludes.  “It’s another world. I love hearing people react to the music and lyrics.  That’s the ultimate reward.”
Stay tuned for solo touring news, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Los Angeles, CA - July 14, 2014 - One of Australia's hottest, most innovative, and experimental new bands Twelve Foot Ninja have announced they will re-release their 12-track debut album Silent Machine in the U.S.on Volkanik Music July 22. Ahead of the release of their debut single "Coming For You," Twelve Foot Ninja recently took home the prestigious "Best New Talent" award at the sixth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Cementing a cult-like following on the back of their innovative brand of alternative rock, the band recently wrapped their first North American headlining tour performing throughout the U.S. and Canada, winning over thousands of fans at festivals including Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Rock on the Range, and Rocklahoma.
In conjunction with the album release (with 2 acoustic bonus tracks for the US), the band has bundled a special edition of Silent Machine with a 72-page full-color companion comic book containing 12 issues inspired by the 12 songs featured on the Silent Machine. The band collaborated with acclaimed comic artist Keith Draws to produce the comics, which are based on the original Twelve Foot Ninja fable co-written by guitarist Steve 'Stevic' Mackay. The story follows a sole ninja's mission to restore balance in a world headed toward a self-inflicted apocalypse. The special edition CD/comic book bundle can now be purchased exclusively at their online store
The debut single from Silent Machine, "Coming For You," is currently impacting at radio now and quickly closing in on 1,000,000 YouTube views. Check the video out now online at: http://youtu.be/-ST85Sui43Q. Widely praised by audiences and critics alike for their ability to combine juxtaposing genres seamlessly, "Coming For You" is the perfect embodiment of this.

Twelve Foot Ninja are often classified as heavy fusion or progressive hard rock but whatever genre you call them, they are known for their seamless genre hopping, soaring melodies over heavy rock, and witty music videos - they take an authentic approach to each style and tie it all together to deliver an inimitable sonic flavor. Stamped with a five-star review by Blunt Magazine, Silent Machine has been described as "reggae, Fate of Nations-era Robert Plant rock, space-rock, djent, Queensrychean hard rock and more, yet they somehow manage to tie it all together without sounding too ADHD...if you loved Faith No More's King for a Day, you'll feel right at home in this Silent Machine."

Though formed in 2008 in Melbourne, it's been said that Twelve Foot Ninja come from the place where your missing socks go... perhaps their tongue-in-cheek videos gives us an insight into where that place is! Never a band to take itself too seriously (except when it comes to their music), the band draw inspiration everywhere from classic kung-fu flicks to Buena Vista Social Club, Earth Wind & Fire to Korean drumming sensation Kwon Soon Keun, transmitting a mind-altering narrative while also showcasing Twelve Foot Ninja's explosive live performance. Do yourself a favor and don't blink, because you might miss something!

Twelve Foot Ninja is Nik "Kin" Etik on vocals, Steve "Stevic" MacKay on guitar, Damon McKinnon on bass, Shane "Russ" Russell on drums, and Rohan Hayes on guitar.

Texas Speed/Thrash Metal Pioneers RIGOR MORTIS Announce the Long Awaited Release of Their Final Album
Slave to the Grave
to the Grave

Available October 7th - Artwork and Track Listing Revealed

"RIGOR MORTIS back with an LP with Bruce Corbitt on vocals is fantastic.  His era is 'RIGOR' which is my favorite of all time because that's what I grew up seeing before my very eyes, and to this day is one of my favorite bands.  This new offering will not, and cannot disappoint any hardcore 'RIGOR' fan!  It's impossible!  Every element, and then some, are shredded throughout this record.... Hail RIGOR MORTIS!

RIP The GREAT Mike Scaccia!!!!"

-Phillip H. Anselmo-

Twenty-Three years after their last record, and nineteen months after the tragic loss of guitarist Mike Scaccia, DFW TX Speed/Thrash Metal pioneers, RIGOR MORTIS, announce the long awaited release of their fourth and final studio album - Slaves to the Grave (Due October 7th via Rigor Mortis Records). This marks the bands first studio album in 23 years, and the first with the classic original line up (Mike Scaccia - guitar, Casey Orr - Bass, Bruce Corbitt - Vocals, and Harden Harrison on drums), since their 1988 eponymous debut album. Recorded less than a year before Mike's passing, STTG was to going to herald the bands long overdue comeback. In February 2012, RIGOR MORTIS entered Ministry's 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, and recorded the 10 tracks that would become Slaves to the Grave.  Today the track listing and cover artwork have been revealed.  The artwork was done Michael Broom.

When no labels were willing to release the record (after all there would be no touring to support it, or follow up record), they decided to release it themselves. With no money, they started a fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo. They called in favors from their friends to get the record mixed and mastered just right and get the cover art just the way they envisioned it. They decided to add a behind the scenes "making of" DVD to the initial pressing, and to release it on vinyl. They are all very proud of this record and the history that surrounds it. They have endeavored every step of the way to do justice to the RIGOR MORTIS legacy, and bring honor to Mike Scacciaʼs last recorded testament. We think he'd be proud.

The subject matter hasn't strayed much. Twisted tales of horror and woe, monsters and madmen, warfare and plague abound! The tracks are fast and heavy as one would expect, but there is also a maturity and growth that only comes with age and experience. Musically, STTG draws from a legacy of brutal influence. The Speed and Thrash Metal that RIGOR MORTIS cut their teeth on is evident throughout the record in the intensity and velocity of tracks like "Flesh For Flies", but also, one could argue, are influences such as Italian horror soundtracks by Goblin, as heard on the outro solo of "Poltergeist". While STTG was very much a group effort, and all four came together like a fist to crush all doubt, It has to be said, of course, that the highlight of this record, and indeed RIGOR MORTIS as a whole musically, is Mike Scacciaʼs incredible guitar playing. His freakish speed picking and beautiful sense of melody is mesmerizing. His solos are stupefying. Mikes style was much closer to Paganini, than to say, Mustaine or Dimebag. He was unique.

Without question, this record contains some of Mike's finest work. In his zone and with no restraints, he delivered some absolutely stellar performances. His solo at the end of "Blood Bath", for instance, is absolutely breathtaking, exposing more heart and soul than precious few of his contemporaries possess. RIGOR MORTIS dedicates this record to Mike Scaccia 1965-2012.

Slaves to the Grave Track Listing:

1. Poltergeist 6:05

2. Rain of Ruin 4:21

3. Flesh for Flies 3:39

4. The Infected 3:51

5. Blood Bath 6:36

6. Ancient Horro 3:27

7. Fragrance of Corpse 3:13

8. Curse of the Draugr 3:34

9. Sacramentum Gladiatorum /

10. Lududs Magnus 13:56

Total running time: 49:00

Produced by Mike Scaccia and RIGOR MORTIS

RIGOR MORTIS first hit the national scene in 1987 by becoming, arguably, the first underground Heavy Metal band to ever be signed by a major label. Though the relationship with Capitol Records didnʼt last long (the label simply didnʼt know what to do with such an intense group), the band managed to make a stir and indelibly leave their mark. Their 1988 debut record, RIGOR MORTIS (Capitol), has since become legendary in the thrash/speed metal community, influencing not only bands like Toxic Holocaust and Goatwhore, but also motivating Ministry to leave the disco for the Metal arena. Ministry would then, of course, influence everything from NIN to Marilyn Manson and Slipknot.

The members of RIGOR would remain friends through thick and thin throughout the years, but it wasn't until 2005 that talk of reuniting started becoming serious. There were still other commitments, but they did manage to play quite a few shows, including Ozzfest 2008, and Germany's Keep It True Festival in 2009. In Feb. 2012 all the pieces finally came together and RIGOR MORTIS entered the studio to record what was to be their comeback record. Older and wiser, and all in a good place with their personal lives, there was an excitement in the air not felt since 1987. RIGOR MORTIS had finally come full circle.

Then, on December 22nd, 2012, it all came to a halt. The band was playing their home town club in Ft Worth, in celebration of Bruce's 50th birthday, when midway through the set, Mike Scaccia suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed on stage. He could not be revived and was pronounced dead shortly after midnight. RIGOR MORTIS was over. Though it was never discussed, they all knew there could be no RM without Mike. But the album was recorded and almost finished. And as fate would have it, just days before he died, Mike went into the studio and put the finishing touches on all of his parts, effectively enabling the guys to complete the record, knowing that Mike was happy with it. But it's been a hard record to finish, mostly because it's simply hard to let it go. It's become such a labor of love for all involved.

Two special shows in support of the album have been announced including a CD Release Party and an appearance at the Housecore Horror Film Fest:

Saturday Sept 27th - Curtain Club- Dallas, TX

Featuring Dead Horse, Wizards of Gore (RIGOR MORTIS), Dead Earth Politics, and more tba. The new RIGOR MORTIS record will be available for purchase at this show.

Oct. 23rd - 26th - Emo's - Austin, TX

The second annual event boasts underground and classic horror screenings and merch, full reunion of cast from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as well as a great line up of bands like Wizards Of Gore (RIGOR MORTIS), Warbeast, Portal, Randy Blythe, Satyricon, Eyehategod, Cattle Decapitation, Unearth, Acid Witch, and many more

On August 22nd, the band will take their very first trip down to Mexico City to perform at El Plaza Condesa for a special performance with Rhapsody. Then on September 13th, STOLEN BABIES will perform a one-off show in their home-area of Los Angeles, CA at Bar Sinister. As a band, STOLEN BABIES are currently working on new music. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Experimental band STOLEN BABIES fuse avant-garde-twisted rock, metal, punk, and theatrical influences with the peculiar image of what (to an unprepared onlooker) may seem like an eccentric Tim Burton-themed after-hours club house band on happy pills. The amalgamation of these ridiculously entertaining visuals with their unforgettable music have solidified STOLEN BABIES’ place in the world of aggressive rock – landing them on tours with internationally recognized groups such as Stone Sour, Lacuna Coil and Sevendust, as well as equally unconventional yet acclaimed artists like Devin Townsend and Otep.

Check out the STOLEN BABIES’ latest music video for the track ‘Second Sleep’. The video was directed by Ilan Sharone, well-known video director and brother of Rani and Gil, with visual FX and animation by Meats Meier. The track is cut from the band’s most recent full-length release, entitled Naught. The album is available at your local music retailer and through iTunes, Amazon and all other standard digital retailers.

Singer Tony Foresta on "Miserable Failure":

"Miserable Failure" is a Summer Jam unlike the world has ever seen. Oozing sensuality riff after riff, this song will take you into a hard rock crossover vortex of horniness, lust and confusion. You might need ear condoms for this one. I hate writing quotes for songs."

The band kicks off a short run of dates supporting EyeHateGod today in Washington, DC. These run through July 15th in Brooklyn, NY.  The band has a huge hometown show scheduled for July 23rd and will be taking part in this year's GWAR-B-Q and Fun Fun Fun Fest.

The band is ready to get back on the road with EyeHateGod:

We are excited to be playing shows with EyeHateGod again and to be getting our butts back on the road in general. These two and a half months off without playing gigs has been driving me crazy", says Foresta.

Fronted by the venomously lyrical Tony Foresta (Municipal Waste), on paper IRON REAGAN is a Richmond, Virginia super group (the band also features Phil Hall of Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse, etc. as well as Ryan Parrish formerly of Darkest Hour together with members of Mammoth Grinder).

In practice IRON REAGAN are WAY more than just a super group project. They have toured the world several times over leveling audiences with their furious live show.  IRON REAGAN is a fully formed raging band that have delivered one of the heaviest hardcore records of the year that is guaranteed to be on the top of both metalheads' and punk rockers' year end lists.

NEW YORK - BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has debuted a brand new music video for their newest hit single, "Angel of Mercy." Directed by long time collaborator, Justin Reich of The Antimatter Studio, the video depicts a stripped down version of the wall of sound that is widely associated with the band. The single was recently performed on Late Night With Seth Meyers, which was the first time the band performed on network television in their decorated tenure.
The band will embark on a stretch of headlining tour dates across the U.S. starting on July 17th in Cincinnati before eventually wrapping up at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque on August 4th. Wovenwar and Kyng have been tapped to support, click here for all tour dates. Black Label Society has also been announced on the first annual KNOTFEST with Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat.
Catacombs of the Black Vatican was released on April 8th, 2014 and debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and #1 on the Rock and Independent Charts. The new effort is already accumulating critical praise with outlets like LOUDWIRE declaring "Wylde’s guitar playing has always been at an extremely high level, but the instrument that’s improved steadily over the years is his voice." New Jersey's  AQUARIAN WEEKLY states, "This is Black Label Society at its finest!"

Beak, the Chicago post-metal quartet who wowed critics with their 2012 debut EP, Eyrie, return with their first full-length, Let Time Begin, on Sept. 23 via Someoddpilot Records.

"Let Time Begin is the Big Bang, The Fall of Man, The Unnamable; it's our interpretation of the origins of the Universe," says Beak singer/guitar player Jon Slusher. The eight-song album moves from chaos to the birth of consciousness. "It is a concept record that evolves sonically from Eyrie with more concise composition and a new pallet of alternating violence, tranquility and melody. We ramped up the primal and pounding rhythm section, we've appropriated vocoding into the mix and we have pioneered new ways to tear out our throats."

Beak's debut EP, Eyrie, received widespread recognition, with the Boston Phoenix saying: "all sorts of post-metal power not heard of since the battle flag of Neurosis was picked up by Boston natives Isis and later Cult of Luna" and The Sludgelord saying "this is one of the best post-metal releases I have heard since ISIS' landmark classic - Oceanic and VYGR's Hypersleep." Spin said the "Chicago post-metal party crashers have songwriting acumen and hardcore bent that 2006's Neur-Isis copycats sorely lack."

Let Time Begin was recorded at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio Studio and John McEntire's (Tortoise, The Sea and The Cake) Soma Studios, both in Chicago. The band self-produced the new release.

ALLEGAEON Enters Billboard and Canadian Charts

For the First Time

"Seriously potent melodic death metal tunes with consistent catchiness and definite headbanagability"

-Decibel Magazine-

"The perfect microcosm of everything there is to love: expertly crafted arrangements, orchestrations composed by guitarist Greg Burgess and Joe Ferris (among a whole bevy of neo-classical elements), RIFFS, epic guitar solos and hooks."

-Metal Sucks-

"The best record of their career so far"

"This is a new, cutting-edge kind of death (metal); aggressive yet accessible, technical yet memorable, menacing yet endearing."

-Metal Underground-

ALLEGAEON's new album "Elements of the Infinite" was released last Tuesday in North America on Metal Blade Records.  For the first time ever Allegaeon cracked the Billboard Charts and Canadian Charts with the new album.  "Elements of the Infinite" came in at #25 on the Billboard Hard Music Chart, #31 on the Canadian Hard Rock Charts and #141 on the Canadian digital music charts. On the day of release in Canada, the album was #1 on iTunes Metal Chart, #6 on the iTunes Rock Chart and #38 on the iTunes Top 200 Current Album Chart. In the US, the album peaked at #3 on the iTunes Metal Chart.

Guitarist Greg Burgess commented on the debuts:

"This morning we awoke to find out our charting position for Elements of the Infinite. If someone told me 10 years ago, that I'd be typing this, playing in a death metal band, especially one with a mascot who wears a frickin' wolfs head for a hat, I would've had you locked up. They say with hard works comes rewards, I say with hard work and amazing fans comes rewards. This is a huge win for our ALLEGAEON and our Legion!"

The album is available for order in special bundle packages at http://www.metalblade.com/allegaeon

A play-through video for the song "Dyson Sphere" is available for viewing HERE.

ALLEGAEON's video for the song "Our Cosmic Casket" can be streamed HERE

Their video for the song "1.618" can be viewed

In support of their new album "Elements of the Infinite" ALLEGAEON will be hitting the road this August with Chimaira, The Plot in You, Upon This Dawning and Silence the Messenger as part of "The Artery Metal Tour".  The tour begins August 5th in Joliet, IL and runs through August 30th in Oklahoma City, OK.  A complete list of dates can be found below.  Tickets for the tour can be purchased HERE.

"Elements of the Infinite" was recorded, mixed and mastered by Dave Otero at Flatline Audio in Colorado Feb-April 2014. Otero's work has been more prominent in the last few years - some fans may have heard his work on the latest Cattle Decapitation album, Cephalic Carnage, and more. Otero's efforts here, along with the band's new material, has led to ALLEGAEON's most realized and mature release to date. Musically, fans will be treated to orchestrations that provide significant depth to the sound. The orchestrations were composed by guitarist Greg Burgess along with Joe Ferris (monumentalaudio.net).

Once More 'Round The Sun has also entered the Top 10 Album Charts in the U.K. as well where it is currently the No. 1 Rock/Metal album across the nation; yet another milestone for Mastodon. Fans and critics agree, this is the best Mastodon album yet:

"The mercurial metal heads have improved on the lean hard-rock pummel of 2011's The Hunter with lattices of ornate riffs and primal vocals... the band sounds best when taking risks." - Rolling Stone

"Album after album, Mastodon set the pace for modern heavy metal. Their brand of aggression is brainy, technically dazzling and slightly hallucinogenic - metal for people who don't usually listen to metal. At the same time, the band is balls-out creative. 'Elegant' isn't a term usually associated with neck-tatted, acid-eating heshers but check out Bill Kelliher's guitar riff verses Brent Hinds' guitar solo versus Brann Dailor's double-time drums. The union is perfectly effortless -and freight-train powerful."  - Spin.Com

"The Atlanta thrashers continue to walk a fine line between brutal hardcore, bespectacled math rock, and area-ready melody." - Entertainment Weekly / The "MUST LIST"

Once More 'Round The Sun was recorded in Nashville with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Deftones). It is the follow-up to Mastodon's critically acclaimed album The Hunter, which also entered the Billboard Top 200 Album chart in the Top 10 upon release and found its way onto several Year End / Best Of Critics' Lists, including those compiled by Rolling Stone, Spin, Revolver, Decibel and many more.

In addition, the band has been confirmed to appear on the outdoor stage of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! on September 15th, in Hollywood, CA.

Once More 'Round The Sun is available now on CD, standard vinyl and a limited edition Deluxe Package pressed on two 180g black vinyl discs housed in a quadruple gatefold vinyl jacket featuring artwork by Skinner. The special package will also contain four exclusive lithographs derived from the album artwork plus the entire album on CD. Order it here. Heating up summer to a boiling point, Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum hard rock luminaries KORN have revealed the official details for their latest release, a deluxe reissue of their 2013 album THE PARADIGM SHIFT: WORLD TOUR EDITION (Prospect Park). The collection will be exclusively available at Best Buy stores in North America starting July 15 and available to pre-order here: http://tinyurl.com/mqrdvo3

For the WORLD TOUR EDITION, the Bakersfield quintet lock and load last year’s critically acclaimed THE PARADIGM SHIFT, with three brand new songs including their just released single “Hater,” plus “The Game Is Over” and “So Unfair.”  In addition, it’s been beefed up with a bevy of live tracks recorded all over the globe and expanded artwork. It’s the ultimate way to experience THE PARADIGM SHIFT.

“Hater” invaded radio airwaves just last week and has already vaulted into the Top 30 at Active Rock. For it, the group teamed up with hitmaker/producer Don Gilmore, who also produced THE PARADIGM SHIFT album, as well as the group’s #1 active rock radio smash “Never Never.”

The song kicks into gear with the seminal grinding guitar volley of Brian “Head” Welch and James “Munky” Shaffer. Meanwhile, Reggie “Fieldy” Arvizu cranks out a throbbing bass bounce punctuated by Ray Luzier’s impenetrable percussion. At the eye of the storm, Jonathan Davis delivers a haunting verse that quickly blossoms into an eerily unforgettable chorus. “Hater” is available now to purchase on iTunes at http://found.ee/kornhater_itunes or stream on  youtube.com/kornchannel.

Among the other unreleased material, Davis opens up about his young son Zeppelin’s battle with diabetes on the powerful “So Unfair,” while “The Game Is Over” slams with the intense catharsis fans worldwide expect from these legends. For more on THE PARADIGM SHIFT: WORLD TOUR EDITION, check out this exclusive interview with Davis on Billboard.com.

In addition, KORN will hit the road co-headlining this summer’s installment of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival with Avenged Sevenfold, starting this Saturday, July 5 in San Bernardino, CA. For dates and info, visit http://korn.com/events.

The paradigm has once again shifted and KORN return with more unique, unshakable, and undeniable anthems.

CANNIBAL CORPSE: American Death Metal Icons To Release
A Skeletal Domain; New Track Posted + Preorder Packages Now Available

Band To Kick Off Summer Tour As Part Of The Rockstar
Energy Drink Mayhem Festival

American death metal icons, CANNIBAL CORPSE, are pleased to announce the release of their thirteenth full-length entitled A Skeletal Domain.

Lucky number thirteen? Lucky or not, it's a quantity of releases (not even counting VHS/DVD releases and EPs) and a wealth of material beyond which most bands could even fathom. The CANNIBAL CORPSE collective - vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, bassist Alex Webster, guitarists Pat O'Brien and Rob Barrett and drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz -- approaches each recording session with a honed and precise vision of a band in their third decade of existence. With this new entry to their extensive catalog, they've switched gears, opting to work with producer Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, DevilDriver) at Audio Hammer Studios, after having tracked their previous three outings (Kill, Evisceration Plague, Torture) with Erik Rutan. Boasting twelve-ominous tracks in forty-four spine-fraying minutes, the result is a massive, belligerent, and deliberate aural attack that finds the band at their peak of their notoriously hyper-kinetic, meticulously executed brutality.

Preparation for A Skeletal Domain did not vary significantly from previous efforts. "At the end of the day, we're still making a death metal record, no matter where it's being recorded," relays Webster. Mark Lewis offered a slightly different, modern recording approach, but the band stressed that they could not be more pleased with their previous albums with Rutan, and the door is most definitely open to work with him again in the future. Changing producers is something the band has historically done after every few albums, if only to not get too comfortable. CANNIBAL CORPSE also tried to step outside of their comfort zone when it came to songwriting and their musical performances. "Consistency is often confused with repetition. We are established with what we do as a band, and we could relax and not push ourselves, but we try to push the envelope. That's what makes this exciting," Webster adds. "Anyone who really listens to this album with an open mind will hear that it's not same-old same-old." Mark Lewis would concur with Webster's analysis and even goes a step further by claiming that "there are moments on this record that have never happened in musical history." CANNIBAL CORPSE have proven time and again that they have more fuel in their tank, more riffs in their minds, and more ways to describe gore than any single group of human beings could ever have hoped. The thirteenth album will prove to be as important a landmark in their career as just about any other. CANNIBAL CORPSE are consistency defined.

Skeletal Domain will be released in North America on September 16th, 2014 via Metal Blade Records.
Point your browser to THIS LOCATION where you'll witness the sonic trauma of second track, "Sadistic Embodiment" as well as a host of preorder bundles.

Set to commence on July 5th in San Bernardino, California, the annual mega tour will stampede its way across North America throughout July and much of August, coming to a close on August 10th in Woodland, Texas.
As an added bonus, CANNIBAL CORPSE will be doing daily signings at 3:00pm at their merch booth for the duration of the fest where Mayhem attendees can preorder A Skeletal Domain. ACCEPT Debut "Stampede" Music Video

Metal Legends to Release New Album Blind Rage August 19

Exclusive Live Dates in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York City Announced!
"viscerally thrilling...Accept does not base its music on the meditative impulse; instead it radiates activity and action." - THE NEW YORK TIMES

Heavy Metal legends ACCEPT will release their new album Blind Rage on August 19 via Nuclear Blast Records. The influential group's 14th studio album was produced by renowned audio engineer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Napalm Death, Opeth) and is the follow-up to 2012's "Stalingrad", which debuted at #81 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was hailed as "brilliant" and a record that "the traditional metalhead will really cherish"  by Goldmine.

The first single from Blind Rage
is the red hot album opener "Stampede". Today, ACCEPT premieres a video for the hard-charging track, filmed on location in the high desert of California at the Devil’s Punchbowl (a rock formation that looks like it’s from another world) with director Greg Aronowitz (Batman & Robin, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, The Lost World: Jurassic Park), the "Stampede" video features ACCEPT unleashing blistering heavy metal from the mountaintops against an absolutely amazing natural backdrop and wide-spanning horizon. Check out the thin air clip now at this location!

"It’s a hard pounding thrash of a song with a riff that has a heart going back to “Fast as a Shark," says Emmy-Nominated production designer and director Dave Blass, who also worked on the out of the ordinary "Stampede" shoot. "Watching the new sun glint off of Wolf Hoffman’s custom silver Framus guitar as he launches into his solo 200 feet in the air above a nasty crevasse made it all worth it."
WATCH: ACCEPT "Stampede" (YouTube)

"I'm really looking forward to these release parties, last time we played with Killing Grace and Oblivion Myth in Nashville it was a sold out affair, so we're looking to repeat that.  Our hometown Atlanta date is going to be epic as well, with our good friends in Throatpunch, Void Of Reason, and old HW compatriots in Bishop Lake on the bill.  They're going to be killer shows!  We can't wait to unleash some of these new songs on you guys live."

HALCYON WAY was founded in 2001 and released its successful debut album "A Manifesto For Domination" in 2008 (via Nightmare Records).  That was followed up by the critically acclaimed "Building The Towers" in 2010, and the sequel to that release, "IndoctriNation", was released in 2011.

The band toured relentlessly over the last few years, going out with Fozzy in the UK, Delain for a full European tour, and North American tours with U.D.O., Saxon, and Fates Warning.

HALCYON WAY's sound cannot be neatly slotted into any sub-category of metal; but it can be described as heavy, catchy, technical, and above all, focused on mature song craft.  The band draws influences & inspiration from many metal bands from Megadeth to Dream Theater, Testament or Chimaira.  The focus of the songwriting is on catchy hooks, vocal harmonies à la King's X or Stryper, and on heavy, technical, but ultimately accessible instrumentation.

What the American hard rock and metal scene needs right now is an infusion of youth and some new blood coursing through its veins. Enter ANTI-MORTEM and their upcoming debut album, New Southern. Formed in 2008 and with over 300 shows already to their name, the combined average age of this Oklahoma quintet is just 21-years-old. ANTI-MORTEM were raised on southern rock & heavy metal and driven by a hunger to make an impact. The band dole out bottom-heavy and groove-laden anthems with every track and infuse a modern sense of melody that is the signature trademark of all the metal greats they've learned from.  Also present and accounted for: southern swagger in spades, courtesy of the band's roots and upbringing.

A Merciless, Head-banging Onslaught That Will Feature

LOS ANGELES, CA - Monday, June 23, 2014 - When Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus played a handful of dates together this past May, every date was sold out and fans experienced a night of some of the best metal on the planet.  With reviews like "the best show in years that I've been blessed to witness," "a metalhead's dream come true," and "...an onslaught of heart-pounding tunes during an evening full of awesome head banging action," how could this trinity of thrash legends not join up again for a full-on road trip?  So, with Scion proudly presenting, Slayer - Kerry King/guitars, Tom Araya/bass'vocals, drummer Paul Bostaph and guitarist Gary Holt - with special guests Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus, will hit the road this fall, kicking off November 12 in Oakland, CA, playing through to December. 5 in Detroit, MI.  The confirmed itinerary is below.

Said Slayer's Tom Araya, "We are way fucking excited about hitting the road again with Suicidal and Exodus.  Fucking intense. See you in the fall."
Added Mike Muir, Suicidal Tendencies' vocalist, "Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus, for only six shows?  They were a blast, but everyone knew that wouldn't be enough.  Now's your chance to see what everyone else was screaming about.  ST definitely can't wait 'til November to do it all again!"

"This monumental tour is a heavy metal collision of epic proportions," added Exodus vocalist Steve 'Zetro' Souza who has just rejoined the band.  "For my first tour back with Exodus, I'm beyond excited to be on the road with my brothers in true thrash metal! The Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot wrote that the five-time-nominated, two-time Grammy winning Slayer is "one of the great American rock bands of the last 30 years, forget about genre."  Their membership in "The Big Four" - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax - the four bands that defined the thrash/metal genre - secures their place in music history.  Indeed, few bands come close to matching the intensity that Slayer brings to its live shows, having been named "Best Live Band" by numerous media outlets including Revolver, SPIN, and Metal Hammer.  With songs that mirror the turmoil and aberrations of our society - God's terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, chemical warfare, the hideous minds of serial killers, and the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, Slayer remains crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the Mainstream.  Slayer's founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed in 2013, and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has been filling in since.  Paul Bostaph, Slayer's drummer from 1992 to 2001, rejoined the band on a full-time basis in 2013.  Slayer recently formed its own label imprint that will be distributed worldwide through Nuclear Blast, and plans to release a new album in early 2015.

In 1982, before Suicidal Tendencies had ever released any music, readers of the legendary Flipside fanzine voted ST "Worst band and Biggest Assholes."  When ST released its self titled album a year later, they took out a full page ad thanking everyone that voted for them and in bold letters said, "You'll be sorry!"
The next year Flipside put ST on the cover with the print, "Love them or hate them, they are not going away," after readers voted them "Best Band, Best new Band and Best record."
Over the years, many controversies have surrounded the band, including being banned from playing their hometown of LA, and Tipper Gore from the PMRC trying attack the band.
To this day, whether it's a skater, punk, metalhead, thrasher, alternative, crossover, you'll see the ST flip hats and shirts all around the world with ST festivals as far away as Indonesia and South Korea, and touring many major festivals in Europe, South America and Asia.
Thirty years later, after several gold records and Grammy nominations, and world wide touring, ST is still loved and hated....and they don't give a f**k.
As lead singer Mike Muir said, "We're not hear to play what you like, we're hear to play what we like, hopefully you'll like it as much as we do, but Suicidal is not for everyone, so if you don't, we ain't losing any sleep over it."
Now in 2014, Suicidal is still not going way, as the classic ST song say, "You can't bring me down"!

One of the forefathers of the Bay Area scene that became known and envied throughout the world, the band's 1985 debut album, Bonded By Blood, has since become a legacy album featuring mandatory live staples such as "Strike Of The Beast," "A Lesson In Violence," and the album's title track. Formed in 1980, the band's original members included Tom Hunting on drums, Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Tim Agnello on guitars, and Carlton Melson on bass. With a line-up that has evolved throughout the years, the current incarnation of EXODUS charges into the future with returning frontman Steve "Zetro" Zousa on vocals, Gary Holt and Lee Altus on guitars, Tom Hunting on drums, and Jack Gibson on bass. In 2014, EXODUS closed the first half of the year with stellar performances at Kirk Hammett's Fear FestEvil and Rock On The Range, as well as a groundbreaking tour with fellow thrash legendsSlayer and Suicidal Tendencies. To date, EXODUS has released ten studio albums, two live albums, and one compilation. Their most recent releaseExhibit B: The Human Conditiondebuted within the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in 2010. EXODUS will release a new Andy Sneap-produced full-length album in Fall 2014 via Nuclear Blast.

Ted and Shemane Nugent at “Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids” in 2013.

25 years ago multi-platinum guitar icon TED NUGENT set out on a selfless mission to get kids out of malls, off the streets, away from drugs and crime, into the woods and in touch with the natural healing powers of the wild. The goal of the Kamp is to teach a child morals and ethics, and their role as caring humans that manage and respect the wildlife around us. From this desire to help others, the “TED NUGENT KAMP FOR KIDS” was founded.

“I started our Kamp in 1989 with a simple goal—to introduce kids to the great outdoors,” says NUGENT. “I made a promise to Fred Bear before he passed away that I would get kids involved. And here we are 25 years later.”

A recent Kamp session sold out in just six hours. Parents stayed up until midnight to begin registering their children online and by 6am on the first day, all 100 slots were gone. And the waiting list is almost as large.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Tim Moran of the Papillion, Nebraska Parks & Recreation. “We always start taking calls from parents literally months before registration—which is literally months before the actual event.  By far, the Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids is one of the most sought-after programs, by both parents and kids, of any youth event we’re involved with.”

All spaces for this weekend’s Kamp at Arrowhead Lake near Neola, IA are already reserved but there are still a limited amount of openings for the July 18 Kamp at Quail Mountain Recreation Area near Twin Lakes, CO. For more info, visit www.tednugent.com/about/involvement/kamp-for-kids/2013-details.

Kamp sessions are outdoor class-format adventure. Each child--ages 11 to 15--is taught proper archery shooting skills, learns hunter’s safety and ethics, survival skills, and participates in hands-on nature studies and a nature walk. TED makes it a point to personally attend as many Kamp sessions as possible. “While my schedule does not permit me to attend all of the events, I take this stuff very personally. Our Kamp for Kids matters. It changes young lives for the better,” he says. In addition to providing hands on instruction, NUGENT also performs a campfire rendition of his popular hunt songs, and talks to Kampers about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

“TED NUGENT KAMP FOR KIDS” is a 100% volunteer 501C3 non-profit corporation and is operated by qualified families and individuals who deeply care about children and their futures. Every child is treated with love, affection and spiritual guidance by our dedicated volunteers. Lessons in resource stewardship, individual accountability, the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule, Hunter Safety and law, International Bow Education (IBEP) and basic lessons in life are driven home in an open, honest, caring setting in the wild.

“I’m not interested in plaques, praise, banquets or awards. I’m only interested in results,” states NUGENT. “I get all the rocket fuel motivation I need to keep moving forward when a smiling young kid comes up to me at Kamp and says he or she can’t wait to go fishing or hunting.”

In addition to his work on “TED NUGENT KAMP FOR KIDS,” TED will be busy this summer promoting his first full-length album in seven years, SHUTUP&JAM!, out July 8 on Frontiers Records. The collection is available now for pre-order at Amazon and iTunes. The Motor City Madman is also hitting the road for a headlining tour in support of the release, kicking off July 3 in Wichita Falls, TX. Dates and ticket info for all shows is available at https://tour.tednugent.com.

We did a short run with those guys earlier this year and they're a great live band and have an awesome record coming out next Fall."

June 17, 2014 (Los Angeles, CA) -- Orange County, CA-based metamorphic rock group RX BANDITS have announced a July 22nd release date for their seventh and much-anticipated new studio album, GEMINI, HER MAJESTY (Mash Down Babylon/INgrooves). The album is available for pre-order at pledgemusic.com/RxBandits and https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/gemini-her-majesty/id888449585?ls=1, with “Stargazer” as the instant grat track.

Produced by Jason Cupp (Maps & Atlases, Birthmark) and recorded at Prairie Sun Recording Studios in Sonoma County, CA, GEMINI, HER MAJESTY  is the follow-up to 2009's critically acclaimed release, Mandala.

"In the past, our aim was to bridge the gap between our recorded music and our live performance," says vocalist/guitarist Matt Embree. "But this time around we really didn't ever consider that. We almost willingly ignored it. It was really nice to make a record that we didn't apply live performance constraints to. That said, now we're going to have the hefty task of figuring out how we want to arrange and play these new songs live. We love the challenge."

Over the course of the past 19 years (yes, 2015 will be their 20-year anniversary), RX Bandits have managed to stay light years ahead of the pack by taking a genre-blurring approach to songwriting. Their adventurous style of play gives them a unique sense of flexibility, one that allows them to seamlessly fit anywhere and everywhere, from the main stage at Bonnaroo and Coachella to Bamboozle and Reading. Their songs have been featured in video games (Guitar Hero, Rock Band), used as the backdrop for ESPN's X Games and continues to be religion for their legion of diehard fans around the world.

On July 11th, the band (Embree, keyboardist Steve Choi, bassist Joseph Troy and drummer Chris Tsagakis) will kick off their headlining tour of North America with a show at the State Theatre in St. Petersburg, FL. The tour, which includes co-headliner The Dear Hunter, will see RX Bandits playing a mix of new material and classic tracks.

SLASH featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators:

The First Single “This Is My Rifle” Released June 17th

From the darkest corners of the twisted mind and imagination of guitarist John 5, comes his new masterpiece Careful With That Axe, the follow-up to 2012’s critically acclaimed God Told Me To. Released digitally on August 12, 2014, through 60 Cycle Hum, Careful With That Axe is John 5’s eighth solo album and features Rodger Carter on drums and Matt Bissonette on bass.

The album’s first single, entitled “This Is My Rifle,” will be digitally released on June 17th. Pre-orders for both the single and Careful With That Axe are up now at all online participants.

As main axe wielder for Rob Zombie, John 5 obsessively keeps himself busy both on and off the road, incessantly writing, recording, filming and creating. Recorded at The Doghouse Studios in Los Angeles in between tour legs, Careful With That Axe was produced by John 5, along with Rodger Carter, and illustrates his musical growth and talents as a guitar player and composer. Carter and Bissonette are in perfect sync, masterfully laying down the musical dreamscape with technical precision. Packed with rapid-fire, machine-gun riffs and musical crescendos, all intertwined with blistering fast six string assaults and an eerie sense of melody, John 5 leads you on a macabre journey through the twisted minds of a different brand of ax wielders. With compositions such as “Portrait of Sidney Sloan,” “The Dream Slayer” and “Flight Of The Vulcan Kelly,” John’s draws you in with lightning fast leads, completely redefining the term “shredding.”

Not to be pigeonholed into any one particular style, Careful With That Axe also showcases John 5’s talents and versatility as a guitar virtuoso and musician. From his flawless finger picking technique on the Latin flavored “El Cucuy” and his fast, intricate guitar-work on the classic Jerry Reed covers “Jerry’s Breakdown” and “Jiffy Jam,” banjo included, to anthemic “Six Hundred and Sixty Six Pickers In Hell,” John 5 gracefully weaves in and out of many different styles ranging from metal and rock, to bluegrass, country & western and flamenco, all harmoniously coming together for his magnum opus Careful With That Axe.

John 5 hits the road with Rob Zombie this June in support of Rob Zombie’s 2013 release Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor (Zodiac Swan/T-Boy/UMe). Rob Zombie’s first concert film The Zombie Horror Picture Show (Zodiac Swan/T-Boy/UMe) DVD, featuring John 5, was released May 19 on Blu-ray, DVD and longform digital video.

GOATWHORE Wages War With "Schadenfreude," Now Playing Exclusively At Loudwire;
Release Of Constricting Rage Of The Merciless Draws Near

With the release of their hugely anticipated new full-length, Constricting Rage Of The Merciless, now less than one month away, New Orleans devious metal merchants, GOATWHORE, unleash all out Hell with "Schadenfreude," currently corrupting the airwaves of mega music portal, Loudwire.

Literally meaning the pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others, ninth cut, "Schadenfreude," is at once predatory, epic, misanthropic and sadistic. Notes vocalist Ben Falgoust of the debaucherous hymn: "This song represents the downward spiral of man at his most vile. The seething element of satisfaction when others around fail and fall, then the gratitude that this sick rejoicing has accomplished in the overall end."

Adds Loudwire: "'Schadenfreude' is a classic take-no-prisoners, leave-no-survivors type of GOATWHORE track. The band's black metal influence is at the forefront of 'Schadenfreude,' as guitarist Sammy Duet builds a dark atmosphere with his open chords and sinister progressions, while vocalist Ben Falgoust explores his full guttural range throughout the track."

Feel the wrath of "Schadenfreude," now playing at Loudwire

And if you missed it, take in the lurid ungodliness of GOATWHORE's "FBS" lyric video HERE, where you'll also find an assortment of killer preorder bundles available

for your purchasing pleasures.

On Constricting Rage Of The Merciless, GOATWHORE spews their unadulterated, subterranean metal as channeled through the historic likes of Motörhead and Bathory, with the insatiable hunger of a pack of wild boars. Captured at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with sound savior, Erik Rutan at the control desk, the record serves as their first studio output to be tracked to two-inch tape. A more challenging approach that demands performance over pro-tooled perfection and leaving little room for error, the ten-track, thirty-seven-minute recording is GOATWHORE's most accomplished, sonically consuming manifestation to date, its warm, organic production harnessing the dense, apocalyptic war-ready tone and energy of their live performance in a way previous releases have not.

Constricting Rage Of The Merciless will make its final descent upon North America on July 8th, 2014 via Metal Blade Records. The record comes in conjunction with the band's Summer-long live infiltration which includes a short run of headlining takeovers scheduled to commence on July 5th before kicking off this year's edition of The Summer Slaughter tour alongside death metal icons Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, The Faceless and more! Hide your children... and your dog. The masked miscreants in GHOUL are coming back to seize your soul and all your worldly possessions on another run of live assaults this Fall. To have the honor of doing so with the likes of Skeletonwitch and Black Anvil is really the death icing on the murder cake. Forward into carnage!"

GHOUL will be touring in support of themselves as well as their Hang Ten EP released earlier this year via Tankcrimes. Recordedby Salvador Raya at Earhammer Studios in Oakland (birthing home of  GHOUL's Splatterhash, Splatterthrash and Transmission Zero), mastered by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound Mastering with cover art by Sean Aaberg of Pork Magazine, Hang Ten is pus-encrusted sonic surf metal celebration, boasting guest vocals from Tony Foresta (Municipal Waste, Iron Reagan) as Henchman #1 and the inimitable R.A. MacLean (ex-Deadbolt) as Kreeg, alongside Digestor, Cremator, Fermentor, Dissector and The Moron Cavern-Shackled Choir. Picking upwhere Transmission Zero left off, the limited edition six-song (mostly) instrumental 10" relays the tale of a Creepsylvania in ruins, and the terrible power struggle that ensues between two vicious motorcycle gangs. In related news, team GHOUL recently ventured into the wide world of television with their own YouTube broadcast. The first episode of GHOUL's Burning Questions is out now and boasts bassist Cremator and other members of GHOUL answering email, video, and phoned-in questions from fans. Doleful ghoulunatics brave enough to engage the hooded cannibals directly will have advice and insults hurled at them. (New York, NY): Sweden's In Flames have built their reputation as one of the most respected and beloved modern metal bands over the course of 10 records, selling three million albums and packing venues all over the world in the process. The band will return this September with their eleventh album Siren Charms.

The new album will be released via Sony/RED in the U.S. and lands in stores on September 9.
Formed in 1990, In Flames, who redefined the melodic metal genre and continue to create music that defies simple categorization, have been blazing a metal trail for nearly 25 years, having toured with everyone from Metallica to Slipknot to Killswitch Engage to Slayer. Many of their albums, namely 1996's The Jester Race, 1999's Colony and 2000's Clayman, are considered modern metal classics and "essential listening" by both fans and critics.
Yet, two decades deep, the band remains vital and continues to up the ante.
In Flames have delivered what will be considered one of the best albums of their already impressive catalog with Siren Charms, taking a huge step forward all the while remaining true to the sound that earned them their status as a hard rock band to watch, within the scene and beyond.
About the album, the band said, "We recorded in the legendary Hansa Tonstudios in Berlin over the course of six intense weeks. This is In Flames 2014, all for the fans to use and abuse."

The release date for the 11-song effort will be preceded by first single "Rusted Nail."
Through the years, In Flames have pocketed numerous awards, including two German Metal Hammer Awards; a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award; and multiple Swedish Grammys.
Their last album, 2011's Sounds of a Playground Fading, achieved Gold status in their homeland.
But In Flames are not satisfied with stopping there. They are currently putting together tour plans which will bring them to North America.
In Flames fans can expect to see and hear plenty from the band as it supports Siren Charms.

GHOUL: Hooded Hooligans Premiere Burning Questions
YouTube Show

The splatterthrash-maniaxe in GHOUL are venturing past music and grave-robbing to start their own YouTube broadcast. The first episode of GHOUL's Burning Questions is out today and features bassist Cremator and other members of GHOUL answering email, video, and phoned-in questions from fans. Doleful ghoulunatics brave enough to engage the hooded cannibals directly will have advice and insults hurled at them. With their unique brand of humor and sickness, GHOUL's Burning Questions will have you in stitches either through laughter or some more nefarious means.

Using the Mezmetron, a device they stole from their enemies on the album, Transmission Zero, GHOUL have found they can break into the broadcast airwaves of Creepsylvania National Television (CNT). They will use this means to produce the show, Burning Questions, as well as continue to make more ghoulish videos available on their YouTube channel. It's their fans' chance to get a look into the catacombs of GHOUL and for GHOUL to engage an entire new audience of numbskulls. They've conquered the world of music, the stage, and the cemetery; now GHOUL conquers the airwaves with GHOUL's Burning Questions

LOS ANGELES, CA - Wednesday, May 28, 2014 - Get ready to mosh in the privacy of your own home, because multiple Grammy-nominated, Platinum-selling thrash masters
ANTHRAX have announced the release of "Chile On Hell," a live-in-concert DVD that is set for a September 16, 2014 release.  "Chile On Hell" was filmed at the Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on May 10, 2013,  and features Anthrax - Joey Belladonna/vocals, Scott Ian/guitar, Charlie Benante/drums, Frank Bello/bass and Jon Donais/lead guitar.  The band performed an extended set that featured songs from Anthrax's entire catalogue - all the fan-favorites including "I Am The Law," "Indians," "Madhouse," "Caught In A Mosh," "The Devil You Know," and "I'm Alive."  "Chile On Hell" will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray, was recorded in 5.1 Surround Sound, and will retail for $16.98.

"Santiago was the perfect place to film the show for this," said Anthrax's Charlie Benante.  "When we'd played there in the past, we'd finish our set, play our encore and go back to the dressing room.  But every time, the fans would continue to scream and cheer and clap.  I mean, they went on and on, they wouldn't stop.  One time Scott and I walked out to the side of the stage just to watch what was going on in the audience, it was intense.  Why wouldn't we want to film a DVD in front of an audience like that?

"Plus," Benante continued, the time was right to do this DVD."  The band was in the home stretch of a three-plus-year campaign to record and support Worship Music and the Anthems EP, a period of time that was loaded with high points: the return of "classic era" vocalist Joey Belladonna, Worship Music making the band's highest chart debut in two decades, the series of Big Four shows - Anthrax, Metallica, Slayer and Metallica, the four bands that wrote the speed and thrash metal road map - that culminated in the September 2011 Big Four spectacular at Yankee Stadium in the band's home town of New York, "Anthrax Day" declared in the Bronx, becoming the first metal band to have its music ("Got The Time") played on Mars, two Grammy nominations, and sold out shows in every corner of the globe.  "We wanted to finish on a high note," Benante continued, "we didn't want to look back and regret that we didn't record the live show."

"Chile On Hell" was produced by Jay Ruston and filmed by City Drive Entertainment Group and DC3 Global.  The DVD's cover art was designed by Stephen Thompson who partnered with Benante to "redesign" the artwork from last year's Anthems EP.
